Student Planners for 5th and 6th Grade

  1. Students will record all homework assignments, tests, and projects in their planners as assigned.  Students are required to record each assignment on the date it is assigned and on the date it is due.
  2. Students will be assigned a "planner buddy" in the classroom who will remain the same throughout the year.  In the event that a student is absent, he or she will be responsible for checking on assignments with the planner buddy upon returning to school.
  3. After recording in the planner, time will be given for buddies to check each others' planners for accurate recordings.  If all the information is correct, buddies will sign each others' planners.  This process will take place everyday.
  4. Please review and sign your child's planner in the "Parent Comment" box every Thursday night.  We will check for signatures every Friday morning.  Let's all work hard at teaching and encouraging our children to be organized.  Many parents also use the planner to communicate any problems or questions they have.

If you have any questions regarding the student planner, please feel free to contact me any time at school.  I hlpe this process will help your child improve his or her time-management skills.  I appreciate your cooperation with this process. *************************************************************

Please send $5 cash or check made out to Clara Barton Open School to cover the cost.  Scholarships are greatly appreciated.  Thank you so much.
