Come one, come all! This Tuesday we will have our first parent book club discussion from 5:30-7:00 (strings concert at 7:00.) We are discussing Nurture Shock. Please bring a main dish or salad to share (Dawn and I have dessert covered.) Even if you haven’t had a chance to read the book you are still welcome to come. Dawn’s student teacher will be providing childcare.
Our camping trip was beautiful in every way! It was a peaceful trip with beautiful weather. We will be working on a camp newspaper on Monday. It will be fun to hear all of the memories ans see what each child took away from the experience
Thank you to all the parent volunteers. There is no way we could do camp without your help. Thanks to Kirsten Walstead for leading the kitchen helpers, Sydney Holcomb for the many photos that will soon be available to you and Sarah Leslie for organizing all the shoppers. Dawn and I love our camp, and truly appreciate the support we get from our Barton families- and from our home families too!
Guess what? We have our city tour field trip this Friday. We will be gone all day traveling around Minneapolis. We will see many of the sights that make our city famous. If you have a suggestion, let me know right away. Look for the permission slip in today’s BEE book.
Spelling Next Week
Our last spelling test will be made up of 27 student chosen words. It’s a challenging test, and a favorite tradition. Please help your child find a word they are interested in learning to spell and send it to school!
