Book Reports

Instructions for completing book reports vary each month. Please click here to download the instructions in PDF or MS Word format.

September – Choose a fictional chapter book to read that you know you will enjoy. You will design a book jacket for Barton Publishing following publisher’s directions.

 

October – Choose a fictional chapter book to read that you know you will enjoy. You will write a short report and do some drawings.

 

November – Choose a fictional chapter book to read that you know You will enjoy. - individual student/teacher conference with emphasis on the main character.

 

December – Take a Holiday break from reporting, but not reading!

 

January – Biography about a person outside of your own culture.

-short written report

-must read whole book, no short Internet bio

 

February – Own choice biography present yourself as the subject of the biography you read to our class tell us about “your” life dress up as this person must read the whole book, no Internet bios

 

March – Fictional chapter book, using a cereal box create a story box that portrays all the elements of a good story. Artistic and fun!

 

April – story of your choice present to class anyway you wish
