Kindergarten News - November 24
Monday, November 24, 2014 8:55 PM

Hi All,
So I said no newsletter for this short week but I wanted to let you know about a few things:

~ All kindergarteners will perform the "infamous" ROBOT dance at the Friday, Dec. 5 ALL School Morning Meeting 7:35am   If you missed it the first time, the second time is even better because all Barton kids learn this in kindergarten so the rest of the students just "erupt" at the end, gives me goose bumps just thinking about it!

~  The original Writers Workshop , "What I am thankful for..." by your child is in the backpack.  I copied the original for their writing folders.

~  Special kindergaten  made"Turkeys" in backpacks on Tuesday.  The turkey "body" is made from tracing your child's feet and the turkey "feathers" are made from your child's handprints.  They look pretty cheeky to me!

~Native Food Contributions matching game cards are also in the backpack today.  As I try to balance the pilgrim story with the Native American Waumpanog people food was the great equalizer, this game highlights the foods introduced by Native people in the Americas.

~ Just for fun , little turkey puppets and a song about "Five Little Turkeys" (words included) are also in your child's backpack too.

OK that's it I believe!  Safe travels!  Happy Thanksgiving
