To Market, To Market
We wrapped up our first unit, Magic Words. Now it’s time for some producing and consuming. We will learn all about trees and paper, wheat and bread, water and much more. In math we will be focused on patterns such as number patterns and money patterns. Our key questions for the theme are:
Where do things come from?
Where do things go?
How can I be a responsible producer and consumer?

This week we will finish up collecting work for our portfolios, make lanterns for the lantern walk and focus on a new kind of weaving. Look for more work to come home this week.

Stages Theater
We went to see The Frog Prince at Stages Theater last week. The play was held in a smaller theater to the right of the main stage. It was an intimate, up close experience. The children enjoyed seeing the fairy tale come to life.

Happily Ever After
Thanks for all the help at our Happily Ever After party. It was amazing to watch 58 children go from station to station and really enjoy every moment. Already they are able to handle the responsibility that comes with independence.

Math Tool Kit
If you aren’t familiar with the math tool kit, here is what it is for. It is a place to store all things math. Think of it as a one stop shop for math resources. Throughout the year games and supplies will come home. Keep them in the box. Include any supplies you find helpful when playing games, solving real life problems or exploring math in another way.
