Room 211 Student Activities

Room 209 and 211 went snowshoeing at the Richardson Nature Center on Wed., February 10, 2010. Everyone had a great time. We enjoyed learning to snowshoe and explore nature on a beautiful winter day.

LEGO Team Demonstration

Matt and Dylan's brothers' First LEGO League team (which includes Barton students Noah, Joe, Jake, and Julian) came and gave a presentation and demonstration on Monday, November 30, 2009.  It was interesting to see their research project and robot in action. It's a fun but challenging activity for 4th through 6th graders.  See the pictures...

Our class joined Penny and Rebecca's singing "Que Gusto" and "Ode to Joy" with the Minnesota Sinfonia today (Nov. 10, 2009). See the pictures and videos...

We Made Butter!

We are finding the reading of Little House in the Big Woods to be suspenseful, bears in the woods, entertaining, the dance at grandpa's and informative: "Wash on Monday, Iron on Tuesday, Mend on Wednesday, Churn on Thursday, Clean on Friday, Bake on Saturday, Rest on Sunday. We have decided that pioneer children work awfully hard.
