Dear Families,

We are on the home stretch!  After family portfolio sharing today we will work on our longitudinal portfolios- those that go from teacher to teacher.  I just got Amanda’s to bring home.  It was wonderful to see the work and read all of the letters from all of her teachers!  In the blink of an eye, your child will be grown up too!  Thanks for taking the time to admire the year’s work with your child today.  I know it means a lot.

Thank you

There were so many parents who helped in the class this year.  If you sent a snack, chaperoned a trip, helped in the class, or read with a child, thank you!  Thanks to all who helped with the camping trip, and all who sent a little extra to support our class activities.  Thanks to Lisa Gordon, who corrected spelling tests, and Doug Gordon, who helped with cribbage and chess. I could name every parent’s name, and tell something that you did.  I notice and appreciate every parent who thoughtfully steps in and helps out.  I couldn’t get along without all of you.  So thank you.

I hear yearbooks will be delivered Monday.  I’ll make sure all students get a copy of the class pages for 102 and 104 so they can collect autographs.  If you didn’t order a yearbook and want one, I believe there are still a few for sale through the school office.

Our Last Day

In the morning the first graders will make pancakes for the second graders, and then the second graders will reciprocate.  In the afternoon, we will make fancy bubble wands and try them outside.  My hope is for a happy peaceful day of saying “goodbye” to our year at school.   Thanks!  Kristin
