Schedule of Book Reports
Book reports are due at the end of each month.  (no book reports due in December or May, book report holidays.)  More detailed directions for the book reports will come home at the beginning of each month.  Below you will find a little preview.  Click on the underlined title for more detailed information.
  • Choose a fictional chapter book to read that you know you will enjoy
  • You will write a short report and do some drawings

You should already be reading a fictional chapter book of your choice.  For this book report you'll be expected to present a "sales pitch" to the class.  This sales pitch is intended to sway your classmates to read or "buy" your book. 

Due November 30.

  • Biography about an African-American person
  • Short written report
  • Must read whole book, no short Internet bio
  • Own choice biography
  • Present yourself as the subject of the biography you read to our class
  • Tell us about "your" life
  • Dress up as this person
  • Must read the who book, no Internet bio
  • Story with girls or women as the main characters
  • Share this with your family at home
  • No written report required, but a parent signature showing that you read and discussed the book at home

  • Present to the class any way you wish
