About Linda Wilterdink

When I was in 1st and 2nd grade, I was curious to learn about my teachers. So I thought I would share a little bit about me.

I come from a large family. It includes my mom, four sisters, two brothers, six nieces, and nine nephews! When we all get together, we love to tell stories, laugh, and play games. I actually grew up a long way from Minneapolis on a dairy farm near Lake Michigan in the state of Wisconsin. When you live on a dairy farm, you learn to love all sorts of animals and the outdoors. You also learn how to remain flexible, persevere, and work hard!

Now I live in south Minneapolis with my two cats, Milo and Minks. Some of the things I like to do when I’m not teaching include reading, writing, walking, skiing, going out to the movies, watching Green Bay Packer football, and traveling to new places. What I’m most passionate about, however, is teaching and learning. I feel very fortunate in that I’ve been teaching and learning in Minneapolis Public Schools since 1991. I’m so happy to now be a part of Barton’s community. I know we’re going to have a wonderful year together.
