Room 209 Newsletter

Dear 209 Families,

It has been a great start (and an early start) to the school year. Our class is complete with 14 third graders and 14 fourth graders! This week I enjoyed watching the group form with new and renewing friendships. It was fun hearing about busy and interesting summers, and I was most impressed by the energy and enthusiasm displayed throughout the week. Many actually said they were happy to be back! How lucky am I?

Feel free to visit the classroom any time during the year. The door is always open. I also encourage you to contact me with questions or concerns. Email is the best way to get a quick response.

I send an email newsletter, and will have a web page again this year - thank you, Alison, (Peter’s mom)! If there is a different or additional email address that you want me to use, please let me know.

This week your student brought home a packet of papers that includes the emergency information form, the Barton directory form, and on Friday, the week’s reflection sheet. All forms need to be returned to school.

I am looking forward to a great year filled with friends and lots of exciting and interesting learning activities. Enjoy the long weekend.
