No Guinea Pig Team this week

The pigs will be back next week.

School Spirit Day- Sports Day

Friday, April 29th

We made globes today. We have been punching out construction paper continents to adhere to the globe once they are ready. Ask your child to explain the punching process. It will take a few layers of paper mache with newspaper and tissue paper to prepare each globe.

I have three permission slips so far. Please look through the information and send it back. Feel free to ask any questions you may have.

Book Orders

I will send home a book order tomorrow. Look through it and order what you like. Send the order back by next Friday and we’ll place an order.

Origami Cranes

Your child may have come home yesterday excited about making cranes at school. If you are like me and need the directions to make one, we found a great website with step by step directions. Go to and make the peace crane. This is a little different than the flapping crane. Send any you make to school and I will add them to our total. We will send them to the Bezos Family Foundation. Maybe something to do this weekend while it's snowing.

Send in food for our school food drive

We have collected 7 items so far. Let’s keep donating!

Paper Mache Recipe

Bring 3 cups of water to a boil. While the water is preparing, mix 1 cup of cool water and 1 cup of flour. When the boiling water is ready, add the flour and water mixture. Bring the mixture to a rolling boil for about 4-5 minutes. Take the mixture off the heat and add 1 tsp of alum. Cool and seal in an airtight container. Keep it in the fridge.

Paper mache was a big hit and I thought there might be requests for the recipe. Enjoy!
