Homework Expectations

Room 211


  • Homework will be assigned on Wednesday.  You will have all week to work on it.  Hint: Do not leave it to the last minute.
  • Homework will be returned to school on Wednesday.
  • All homework should be completed in pencil.
  • All papers should be labeled with your name and the date.
  • Your work should be neatly and carfully completed.  Gorgeous handwriting.
  • Keep your papers clean and unwrinkled.  They should not be all folded up.
  • Do your best.
  • To help your child be successful when work on homework they will need the following supplies at home: pencils, erasers, colored pencils, red editing pen, lined paper, ruler, dictionary, thesaurus.
  • You should try to read every night.  Use your reading calendar to record how many minutes you read.  On the back write the title and author of the book you are reading.  Third graders minimum 30 minutes.  Fourth graders minimum 40 minutes.
  • Find time during the week to work you your math facts.  There will be a 10 minute quiz each Tuesday.
  • Each Friday you will bring home your Week in Review sheet to share with your family.  This paper needs to be signed and returned each Monday.
