Classroom News 10/3/14
Sunday, October 5, 2014 9:10 PM

Dear Families,

We joined our upper buddies this morning for an all school morning meeting.  We sang songs, watched some student made films and listened to drumming.

Science:

We're just finishing our first Science Unit on Balance and Motion.  We observed and compared how objects balance, spin, and roll, and discussed what we discovered.  The process of observing, communicating, and comparing are important thinking processes that your child used during our investigation of balance and motion.

We have an upcoming field trip to The Works on Tuesday, November 4, to experiment more with force and magnetism.  A permission slip will be coming home about this as soon as we get confirmation on the bus transportation cost.

Social Studies:

We have been learning about Civics and Government in Social Studies.  We learned about being part of communities, and about what makes a good classroom community.  As a class we developed classroom rules, learned about being a good citizen, and participated in a class vote.
