Signup online to volunteer in the classroom
Saturday, April 10, 2010 8:55 AM

Please try out VolunteerSpot to if you'd like to use this online tool to sign up for:

  • Farm Trip - Come along on May 20 as we go to visit a farm in Hugo - we need a few parents to come along with us on the bus.  (Parents will need to bring their own bag lunch.)
  • Lake Day - Spend a great day with Room 108 and their buddies on June 4, along with the rest of the school as we celebrate the end of another great year at Lake Harriet.

  • Volunteers to help with fall assessments - daily from 8:30-9:30 am.  Mary is looking for volunteers who can give an hour of their day to help out in the classroom - up to four spots open for any given day of the week. The initial task that needs to be accomplished is completing assessments with all of the new students, but will move on to other activities when this is completed.

Click on one of the links above to sign up for a particular activity and see how it works.  Once you've signed up, you'll also be sent a reminder two days before the activity -- or if you need to cancel, you can make a change online and Mary will be notified - and the spot will appear as open to someone else. All without sending a piece of paper back and forth between home and school!

If you'd prefer to learn more about it before signing up for one of the activities above, view the slideshow below to get a better idea how it works and find out more about Volunteer Spot. (TIP: Click the "full" button on the bottom row to open the presentation in full screen.)
