Super Soccer Saturday
Monday, September 19, 2011 9:20 PM

Round 2 of Super Soccer Saturday will be Saturday, September 24, 2011, at Southwest Stadium (Abbott Ave S & W 48th St). Varsity, JV, Sophmore and Freshman teams - both boys and girls - play. Both South and Southwest boys varsity teams are ranked in the top 10 in MN, with the Southwest Lakers coming off a 22-1 2010 season record and state final appearance. A full day of Minneapolis soccer at it's best.

And this year's tradition promises something special - the men's varsity game will be under the lights! The Southwest HS boosters are providing lights for the big game.

Southwest aims to KICK IT BACK

The Sanneh Foundation is partnering with Southwest High school to celebrate Soccer Saturday. This year 6th ranked Southwest plays 3rd ranked South for bragging rights of Minneapolis. The Sanneh Foundation will be setting up a soccer equipment drive for its "Kick It Back" program at the game. The program collects and redistributes new and gently worn soccer equipment and shoes throughout the twin cities. The Sanneh Foundation has provided shoes, balls, jerseys to 1000's of kids in need across the country. Please join in helping Southwest High attain a record setting shoe drive. Come celebrate Soccer Saturday, September 24th, from 9 AM to 9PM at Southwest Stadium. All those who donate will be entered into a raffle to win a U.S. National team Jersey.

The Sanneh Foundation is a 501c3 non profit organization, and qualifying gifts and donations are tax deductable.
