Rather than asking families to spend money on individual student supplies, I will shop for basic school supplies for every student. When teachers purchase supplies, we can often get discount prices, obtain material sizes that fit storage areas, and ensure that materials are equitable. A shared supply fund also eliminates the need for yearlong storage.

A $25 donation is requested to get me started on purchasing the basic supplies, but any amount will be greatly appreciated. In addition, I will be ordering Time for Kids, National Geographic Explorer, and Handwriting Without Tears. I will inform you at a later date, in September, of this cost.
I will accept donations at the Meet Your Teacher Social on Thursday, August 22rd or at any time throughout the school year. Please make checks payable to the Barton Foundation.

Finally, your child will need a either a box of Kleenex or a container of Clorox wipes, a sturdy backpack, gym shoes, and 2 fun homework folders (labeled with your child’s name) to start the school year ☺
